I am a certified coach in Advancing Leadership and am studying a Masters in Applied Psychology Coaching at University College Cork. I registered as a general nurse in Cork in 1994 and worked in a busy London teaching hospital for several years. I also graduated with a 2:1 Hons LLB Law Degree in 2000 whilst also working part time in primary care. I returned to my native Cork in 2001 where I worked in both the public & private sectors in hospital and primary care. Since 2016, I worked as a clinical manager in a large multinational corporate wellness environment where I was involved in planning medical and nursing care pathways in chronic disease management and preventative & travel medicine for employees.
I specialise in coaching people who suffer burnout, loss of focus and direction, whether at work or in the home. I also coach women at work including menopause coaching as well as women who return to work from maternity leave or other extended leave. I am particularly interested in strengths coaching and use a motivational interviewing style of coaching.
In terms of the workplace, I work with small to medium sized enterprises in change management and advancing leadership. I specialise in coaching employees who work with challenging team members and difficult bosses.
My coaching practice is highly researched and evidence based. My research areas include intergenerational resilience, relational coaching and coaching childhood stories.
I am also a HearthMath®Certified Coach and have found HeartMath hugely beneficial during COVID when coaching frontline emergency workers.
I currently use the VIA character strengths profile to work with clients on their strengths. If you are intrigued by being coached using "metaphors" or "space", I'd love to meet you.
