I am a qualified applied psychological coach and also hold a QQI certificate in Advancing Leadership Coaching. I am due to complete a Masters in Applied Psychology Coaching at University College Cork (UCC) early in 2022!
I registered as a general nurse in Cork in 1994 and worked in a busy London teaching hospital for several years. I also graduated with a 2:1 Honours LLB Law Degree in 2000. I returned to my native Cork in 2001 where I spent many years working in senior nursing roles. More recently, I worked as the clinical manager in a large multinational corporate wellness centre in Cork which is where I developed my curiosity for coaching. I currently work as a lecturer in the School of Public Health at UCC and am passionate about Teaching & Learning.
I coach frontline workers who suffer burnout, relational and leadership challenges. I also debrief medical and nursing personnel who experience traumatic events at work and I offer psychological first aid & supports. I have coached and debriefed healthcare workers since the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic and I offer special rates for my colleagues who work on the frontline.
My research interests include intergenerational resilience, coaching childhood stories, leadership behaviour, positive organisational leadership in healthcare and psychological support in healthcare.
I am a certified HearthMath® Coach and an accredited Strengths Profile® coach and I enjoy working with clients on leveraging their personal strengths in their day to day lives.
If you have never tried coaching before and are curious about what it might be like, I'd really like to hear from you.. Please use the 'Let's Chat' button bottom right of this page.
